Identifying Dental Conditions

Making your dental visit as gentle and pain-free as possible is always our goal. During exams, we identify all types of dental issues and conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Tooth decay – When bacteria in your mouth cause damage to your teeth or enamel, tooth decay can occur. Cavities can also arise from tooth decay, often causing painful holes in the teeth, which can lead to infection.
  • Tooth loss – Tooth loss can occur in the surrounding teeth when bacteria reach beneath the gum line after losing a tooth. If not treated, tooth loss can lead to more severe gum diseases.
  • Gingivitis – Although severe, this is a mild form of periodontal disease. It causes inflammation, redness, and irritation in the gums; however, gum disease can be reversed, unlike periodontal disease. It is crucial to catch gingivitis early to prevent it from becoming a more aggressive periodontal disease.
  • Periodontal disease – Inflammation in the gums and the build-up of plaque that causes the gums to become highly inflamed, red, and sensitive.

Treating Dental Conditions

To combat dental problems, we offer treatment and procedure options, including:

  • Root canals– A procedure that repairs a damaged or infected tooth by removing the tooth’s center, known as the «pulp.»
  • Crowns – Dental crowns help restore a tooth by bonding it with dental cement known as a «cap.»
  • Dentures – Although removable, dentures help those with missing teeth have the ability to smile again. When getting fitted for dentures, we assure you are in the hands of dental experts who will get you the perfect fit!
  • Tooth extraction(s) – A tooth extraction involves removing either one or several teeth. There are many reasons that can lead to why teeth may need to be extracted, whether it be a result of tooth decay or a tooth that has been severely injured.
  • Bridges – Dental bridges are ‘false teeth devices’ that help fill gaps in teeth. They can work for either one or multiple teeth.
  • Periodontal cleanings – If you have been diagnosed with periodontal disease, staying on top of cleanings is essential to prevent further plaque and tartar.
